KENNETH D. HUBBS

Prior to joining Westar Capital, Ken Hubbs was a founding principal of General Catalyst Partners, a private equity firm based in Boston where he focused on investments in growth opportunities and middle market buyouts.  Mr. Hubbs was also a founding team member of Upromise, a company centered on creating a savings and loyalty network formed of major brands committed to making college more affordable for families.

Previously, Mr. Hubbs worked at FC Capital Partners, a private investment firm focused on middle market buyouts in partnership with some of the country's leading private equity firms.  He also worked at Kirkland Messina focusing on principal investment opportunities.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Hubbs was in the corporate finance division of Smith Barney, providing a range of investment banking services to private equity firms and emerging growth companies.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with University honors from Brigham Young University and a Master's in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
